बारपाक
एकै ठाउँमा घना बस्ती भएको गाउँ हो बारपाक । गोरखा जिल्ला, बारपाक सुलिकोट गाउँपालिकाका १ र २ नम्बर वडामा पर्ने गाउँमा घले, गुरुङ र विश्वकर्माका १५५० घर छन् ।
१२ वैशाख २०७२ को भुइँचालोबाट ध्वस्त गाउँ पुननिर्माण भएको छ । प्राकृतिक हिसाबले निकै सुन्दर गाउँ । यहाँबाट बौद्ध हिमाल देखिन्छ । गाउँको सिरानमा रहेको मोम्जे डाँडाबाट भने गणेश, सृङगी, लाङटाङ, हिमालचुली, गोरखा पिक, रानी पिक, मनास्लु हिमाल देखिन्छ । बारपाकबाट ३ घण्टा पदयात्रामा मोम्जे पुगिन्छ भने ५ घण्टामा लाप्राक गाउँ ।
गाउँमा मानीडाँडा चौतारा, बुद्धपार्क, कोट मन्दिर, सातकन्या देवी, गुम्बा, चर्च, भूकम्प स्मृति पार्कलगायत सम्पदा छन् । दोस्रो विश्वयुद्धमा बहादुरी देखाएबापत बेलायती महारानीबाट भिसी पदक पाउने गजे घलेको सम्मानमा सङ्ग्रहालय बनाइएको छ ।
बारपाक नाउँको विषयमा रोचक कथा छ । पहिला यहाँ १२ वटा बाघ पालिएको थियो । तिनै बाघ हेर्न जाने ठाउँ भन्दा भन्दै बारपाक भन्न थालियो । जङ्गल बीचमा बाघ बाँधेको ढुङ्गा अझै छ ।
गाउँमा दुई दर्जन होटल छन् । त्यस्तै वि.सं. २०६७ देखि होमस्टे सञ्चालित छ । घले र गुरुङका २२ घरमा ६० बेड छन् । होमस्टेमा लोकल परिकार पाक्छ । पाहुनाको मागअनुसार मारुनी, चुड्का र दोहोरी गीतमा नाचगान गरिन्छ ।
राडीपाखी, बख्खु, मह, भटमास, कोदो, आलु र मौसमी तरकारी बारपाकको कोसेली ।

कसरी पुग्ने: काठमाडौँ–बारपाक १८० कि.मि. । गोरखाको १२ किलोबाट बालुवा हुँदै बारपाक ५२ कि.मि. । काठमाडौंको नयाँ बसपार्कबाट बारपाकका लागि गाडी छुट्छन् ।

Barpak
Barpak is a densely populated village. There are 1550 houses of Ghale, Gurung and Bishwakarma clans in the village of Ward No. 1 and 2 of Barpak Sulikot Municipality in Gorkha District.
The village was destroyed by the earthquake of 25 April 2015, has been rebuilt. Barpak is naturally scenic and beautiful village. Bouddha himal can be witnessed closely from here. Ganesh, Sringi, Langtang, Himalchuli, Gorkha Peak, Rani Peak and Manaslu Himal can be observed from Momje Danda at the top of village. Momje is reachable in 3 hours on foot and one can reach Laprak village in 5 hours.
There are Manidanda Chautara, Buddha Park, Kot Temple, Satkanya Devi, Monastery, Church and Earthquake Memorial Park. A museum has been set up in honor of Gaje Ghale, who received the VC Medal from the British Queen for his bravery in World War II. There is an interesting story about the name Barpak. Long ago 12 tigers were reared in the village. The same place where people goes to observe tiger was later called Barpak. There is still a stone tied tiger in the middle of the forest.
There are two dozen hotels in the village. Similarly, Homestay has been operating since 2011 in Barpak village. There are 60 beds in Ghale and Gurungs 22 homes. Homestay serves local and organic dishes.
Maruni, Chudka and Dohori songs are performs as per the guests’ preferences.
Radipakhi, bakkhu, honey, soybean, millet, potato and seasonal vegetables are gift that can be bought from the village.

How to reach : Kathmandu-Barpak is 180 km. Barpak is 52 km through Baluwa from 12 kilo of Gorkha. Bus service is available for Barpak from new bus park in Kathmandu.
